Good morning  all
Both weekend days presently looking good.
With the Club Forum starting at 1400 on Sat, afternoon flying will be cut short. But to compensate, our tireless winchmaster, Tony van Dyk, will be setting up the winch from 0800.  Great opportunity for an early morning view of Papawai !
Both twins and the DG 100 are on line both days.
Several Members are staying over in Greytown on Saturday night so Sunday could be busy –  if you are looking for a flight a booking would be a good idea.

Massed Cow Breakout
David Hirst reported the following incident with consequent words of advice just after last weekends Review was despatched :
Just one thing for members to note: if you find an electric fence in an unusual or inconvenient place and you drop that fence for any reason, put it back up as soon as possible.  For example, if you need to drop a fence to get gliders through in the morning, then put the fence back up after the last glider has passed and don’t wait until the end of the day.  Ignore the wrath of Diana at your peril!

We had a massed cow breakout, possibly caused by a combination of a weak single-strand fence clip, curious animals and gliders on 30 landing over the herd.  This breakout would have been OK (they broke out to the field they were going to be put back into anyway) had not a fence near the hangar been down also, letting them all up onto the top terrace.  Emma, Mark, Michael, Stuart and I had a merry 30 minutes moving the herd back to their rightful place as the light was failing.
